About Shelly

Atomic City Quilts is a real-life dream come true for Shelly. Shelly has been making beautiful quilts since the late 1990s. Shelly graduated college with a degree in physics, worked in industry as a nuclear quality engineer then as a commercial loan assistant. But her passion has always been for creating fabulous works of quilting art. She always 'wows' and 'amazes' friends and family with her creations and has won numerous awards at local quilt shows.

She believes that everyone can succeed at quilting with the right products, education, and tools. To that end, she continually educates herself on the industry’s latest products and technologies so that she can pass that information along to her customers. Her goal is to make quilting affordable and accessible for everyone, while inspiring today's quilters to preserve the relevancy of this time honored craft for future generations.
